Glynn J. Delatte, Jr
DWI Trial Lawyer Glynn J. Delatte, Jr. is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Southern University Law Center. He has been in private practice for 20 yrs. and he has one of the largest firms in Louisiana devoted to DWI defense since 2003.
He is a retired Louisiana State Trooper who was recognized as a leader in DWI enforcement by the State of Louisiana. He has personally handled, or been a consultant in several thousand DWI/DUI related cases throughout the State of Louisiana. He has been qualified in State District Court to testify as an Expert Witness in the area of NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Police Procedure and Arrest Techniques in Apprehension of the Drunk Driver and in the proper use and administration of the Intoxilyzer 5000 Breath Test. He owns two Intoxilyzer 5000 machines, has held a certification to operate breath testing machines in Louisiana since 1979 and is certified as a 5000 Maintenance Technician.
He is a Charter Member of the DUIDLA, a Sustaining Member National College of DUI Defense Attorneys, a Member Louisiana Association Criminal Defense Lawyers, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and DOT Certified Standardized Field Sobriety Instructor, Certified Advance Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), Certified DRE Drug Recognition Expert and is one of a selected group of lawyers nationally recognized as an “ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist”. Glynn J. Delatte, Jr. has attended hundreds of Continuing Legal Seminars over the last twenty years and continues as a leader among Louisiana’s DWI defense attorneys.
He is a nationally recognized seminar speaker in the area of DWI defense who has not only presented, but also trained other lawyers in the procedures and techniques to properly administer the Standardized Field Sobriety tests.
